Different populations have different HIV prevention needs and preferences. Sex workers (SW), adolescent girls and young women (AGYW), pregnant and breastfeeding people (PBFP), men who have sex with men (MSM), the incarcerated population, transgender individuals (TG) and people who inject drugs (PWID) may be vulnerable in distinct and significant ways due to a variety of factors.
Stigma and violence, discriminatory laws and institutions, social exclusion and human rights abuses are among the barriers these populations face. This section highlights existing guidance and evidence around effective approaches for reaching priority populations with HIV prevention products and services.
More pages are forthcoming but the pregnant and breastfeeding people (PBFP) is available now.
