PrEPWatch was created in 2006 and is maintained by AVAC, a non-profit organization based in New York that uses education, policy analysis, advocacy and a network of global collaborations to accelerate the ethical development and global delivery of new and emerging HIV prevention options as part of a comprehensive and integrated pathway to global health equity. AVAC receives support for PrEPWatch from various sources including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation and USAID, via OPTIONS, PROMISE and MOSAIC projects.
