The goal of Malawi’s 2022 Country Operational Plan is to maintain progress from 2021 in key areas related to health promotion such as refining efforts to eliminate policy barriers, insitutionalizing client- centered services, helping the country achieve 95-95-95, and spotlighting HIV prevention and treatment access for all populations in need.
Malawi PrEP Communications Strategy, 2020-23
USAID, PEPFAR, and the National AIDS Commission of Malawi formulated the National Communication and Advocacy Strategy for PrEP to improve the prevention response to HIV in-country, particularly for the most vulnerable populations. This strategy outlines how to coordinate demand creation in priority populations to increase uptake of PrEP.
Malawi National HIV/AIDS Monitoring & Evaluation Framework, 2015-20
Strategic and policy developments in support of further access to HIV prevention and treatment services led to the development of this National AIDS M&E Framework for Malawi. This M&E Framework will primarily guide in the generation of vital information for a strategic response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic in-country.

PMM Landscape Analysis, Malawi & Zimbabwe (2020)
PMM is advancing planning for future biomedical prevention product introductions, with a focus on CAB-LA, to avoid oral PrEP challenges and reduce time to impact. PMM used quantitative and qualitative methods to identify sub-national geographies, target populations, delivery channels, and prevention networks to prioritize in early introduction activities for CAB-LA.
