This letter comes from a group of young African women and reflects their HIV prevention research priorities. It was submitted to the National Institutes of Health’s (NIH) Division of AIDS (DAIDS) during the open-comment period concerning the structure and agenda for its next funding cycle (2021-2027).

After The Ring Study: DREAM

DREAM, or Dapivirine Ring Extended Access and Monitoring, was a year long open-label extension (OLE) study launched by the International Partnership for Microbicides (IPM) in 2019 to assess how safe the ring is for the 940 HIV- women who participated in The Ring Study, and explores when, why, and how women use the ring.
